Alright, I have not been blogging, Honestly, I have not been doing much of anything, which includes training for my races. Arkansas taught me a lesson!
I walked the marathon and almost didn't make it. At mile 24, my daughter called and I just broke down sobbing. Talk about a role reversal...the parent became the child and the child gave me the wisdom and courage to finish what I had started. I only hope I am half as good a parent as she was on Sunday.
I start training in ernest again today. I will start with a 22 minute run. It starts with a first step and I know I need to go back to the basics. I am not going to sign up for another half until I can proove to myself that I am ready to run.
But I do have 13 states behind me: Arkansas, Louisiana, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, California, Texas, South Dakota, Washington, Oklahoma, Wyoming,Florida and Colorado!
